Information on Reclaiming Your Pet

  • Come to the shelter as soon as possible. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am until 6 pm. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.
  • Bring your pet’s rabies vaccination certificate and some form of proof of ownership (photos, vet records, etc). You will also need to bring identification.
  • If your animal is not vaccinated against rabies, he/she must be vaccinated at your expense
  • Your pet must also be microchipped in accordance with the county ordinance at your expense.
  • If you reside in Forsyth County and your pet is not currently licensed, you must obtain a license for your pet at your expense.
