Witchy Washi Crafts

Family Films on Friday

Join us for our monthly Family Films on Friday, Jan. 28 at 3:30. We'll be showing "Jungle Cruise" produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Based on Disneyland's theme park ride where a small riverboat takes a group of travelers through a jungle filled with dangerous animals and reptiles but with a supernatural element. Starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Emily Blunt. (PG-13)

Seeking Authors for FCPL's 2022 Local Author Fair

On Saturday, March 19, from 1 – 4 p.m. join us as FCPL’s local author fair welcomes a wide variety of authors in many genres from the Triad area. This is a great chance to get your name out there, meet others from our thriving community of writers, and offer copies of your book for sale.
Space is limited. If you’re interested in having a table at the local author fair, please fill out this form and a library representative will contact you.

Find your inner artist! Coloring has been linked to reducing stress as it calms and refocuses the mind. Join the Color & Coffee Group for some relaxation and socializing while you color. Coffee, coloring sheets, and pencils will be provided by the library. Join us Friday, Jan. 14 and 28 at 10 a.m. for all the fun.

Do you love to knit, crochet, embroider or do another kind of hand-stitching craft? If so, come along to the Lewisville Branch the first Wednesday of every month at 11:00 a.m. for our monthly gathering of the Hook & Loop Group. Bring your own project to work on or just come to see what others are creating. No formal instruction. All skill levels welcome. Next gathering: Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 11:00 a.m. (please note time change to 11:00 a.m.)

Quilts and the Underground Railroad

Learn how enslaved people sent and received underground railroad messages through quilts at the Lewisville Branch on Tuesday, Feb. 22 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Participants will make a replica quilt patch out of fabric and glue. Recommended for ages 5-11 years old. Presented by the Delta Arts Center. Sponsored by the Friends of the Lewisville Library. Registration required.
